#429: My design incorporates some third party elements, does this violate any terms and conditions?

If you use third party intellectual properties, it does not violate our terms and conditions, as long as you got permission from the intellectual property owners in a written, duly signed and stamped form, otherwise, integrating third party intellectual properties, incorporating others' work, concept and ideas, in most cases violates the terms and conditions, and could get your work disqualified. Sometimes, it could also be possible that you might integrate third party intellectual properties without knowledge, in this case, we would potentially (but not obliged to) send you a request for written permission documents or we could ask you to change the presentation of design such that third party intellectual properties are not included, and in some cases we might not be aware that you used third party intellectual properties, if this happens, as you indicate in the terms and conditions, you are fully responsible for any damages to third parties, and we might disqualify your work from the competition post-results announcement, therefore all these considered, it is best to avoid using third party intellectual properties whenever possible. For presentations if you need to use pictures or others' content, ensure you use stock photography that you purchased and ensure you got a written permission to use the images or content.
