| DESIGN NAME: Meet Spring with Plant PRIMARY FUNCTION: Icon INSPIRATION: Urbanization has brought lots of pollution problems, so it's necessary to study whether plants can purify the urban environment in addition to beautifying the city. We studied the main green plants in China's top ten cities, and found that green plants can purify air, kill bacteria, reduce noise, absorb pollutants, environmental indicators and other purification functions, just like the purification system. We made these materials into visual designs and presented them to the public. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: According to the purification function of different plants, this work combines the pollution related objects in the city with the image of plants. Based on the pattern of pollutants, 16 groups of plant ICONS are generated, such as purifying air, and the black tone is given to express the absorption effect of plants on urban pollution. This design will be the plane icon into a three-dimensional flower shape, build a virtual space, so that visitors can enter the interactive play. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The design is like a game through the computer program into the virtual space. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Due to the impact of the epidemic, it is difficult for us to put our design works in the offline art museum for public viewing, so we choose to make our works into an online virtual space. The exhibition space was created through Blender and made accessible through UE5. We downloaded government procurement reports to identify the species of plants, and searched for scientific research on each plant. We found that in addition to ornamental, most of these plants have the function of alleviating urban pollution. some trees can reduce the noise of cars, and some trees can absorb SO2. It was fun, so we wanted to share it with others CHALLENGE: As someone who has always done graphic design, making virtual Spaces is hard. So let's start with the plant, finish the plant icon, and then think about how to put the plane into the virtual space.
