| DESIGN NAME: Sofa PRIMARY FUNCTION: Cordless Mini Vacuum Cleaner INSPIRATION: Sofa was designed to meet the customer needs in the growing cordless mini vacuum cleaner market; a compact mini cleaner with a big dust capacity and long runtime. Sofa is designed with geometric lines and elegant details . Such as hot foil layered parts and chrome look lines gives the product a more distinguished and sturdy look at affordable cost. The texture on the handle area gives a smooth feeling that you always want to hold in your hand. We wanted to create a product that you will always want to keep on the counter when it is placed on the charging unit. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Sofa is a cordless vacuum cleaner standing out with its stylish sturdy look combining with 115Watt dijital motor , 10.8 V Lithium ion battery, 25 min continuous runtime , 200 ml dust pick up capacity and Hepa+metal filter combination. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Sofa, which is standing out with its 200 ml dust collection volume, provides 25 minutes of continuous runtime. While the chamber can be cleaned with a single touch, thanks to the combination of hepa and metal filter inside, no dust particles can escape . Thanks to the adjustable built-in brush on the sweeping tip, it is possible to vacuum places such as sofas and tables effectively. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: All of the non transparent plastic parts of the sofa are made with recycled material. However, since all the parts are designed to be covered with hot foil from the beginning, the surfaces do not have the defects created by the recycled material. Thus, it is possible to obtain a nature-friendly, robust and high end look. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: product size : 67mmx430mm weight : 600gr TAGS: cordless, vacuum , mini , compact , practical ,battery RESEARCH ABSTRACT: - CHALLENGE: Our goal was to create a compact product which can be used in daily routine and also to be able to have the biggest dust pick up volume in the market. We had to fit a high efficient 115Watt Bldc motor and 3 batteries with lots of cables and PCB and noise cancellation sponges and connectors in a limited space. Also we had to design every surface very carefully to be able to have the metallic look with hot foil application because the parts need to have draft angles for injection molding technology but, the surfaces should be flat for hot foil process. To be able to design parts for both processes without compromising the outlook and concept design was one of the hardest part of the overall design activity.
