PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Modular Multifunctional Drone

INSPIRATION:
Most of the existing UAVs are single functional and cannot meet multiple needs, so multi functional UAVs are designed using a modular approach. Its shape is inspired by the honeycomb of a bee, using the hexagonal shape of the honeycomb as its skeleton. The lower part adopts the magnetic adsorption method to assemble multiple functional modules.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Honeycomb is different from other UAVs in its single function attribute, and realizes modular and multi functional applications. The hexagonal frame can be infinitely expanded to add more modules. The more expanded the power module with rotor protection around the stronger the carrying capacity. One of the multi shaft propellers is the main controller responsible for receiving Bluetooth. The other is the auxiliary rotating clockwise and counter clockwise rotating alternately.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
UAV functional modules include fire protection, propaganda, seeding, UV sterilization, spray, express. The various functional modules are strongly magnetically adsorbed in the middle of the hexagonal frame, the program is used to plan and control the activities of the drone. The builtin Bluetooth can monitor the position at any time.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project started in Shenyang, Liaoning Province in June 2020 and ended in Shenyang, Liaoning Province in January 2021.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
Circuit board, brushless motor, Bluetooth, strong magnet, airborne sensor, airborne calculation.

SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES:
Honeycomb UAV is 815 mm long, 815 mm wide and 363 mm high.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
Functional modules include fire protection, propaganda, seeding, UV sterilization, spray, express. All modules are connected by strong magnetic 360 degrees, and the connection part is stable. The drone skeleton and modules can be continuously expanded by splicing, and the more modules, the stronger the endurance, the more powerful the functionality.

CHALLENGE:
One challenge is how to better combine function and structure, and the other is how to more accurately control the weight of functional modules to achieve flight stability.

LuXun Academy of Fine Arts founded in 1938, is located in Shenyang, Liaoning Province. It is the only multi-disciplinary and multi-degree higher art school in Northeast China. Its predecessor is Lu Xun Art The college was initiated by Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai and others personally. It is one of China's eight major academies of fine arts and a key university in Liaoning Province.
