Interview with Paulus Kristanto at Tuesday 19th of April 2016

FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
PK: Produce good quality photo of composition, color, angle, sharp image.

FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
PK: Make great photography and be inspiring to others.

FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
PK: Show it to the world and make some new ones. Hope I got Platinum A'Design Award Winner for next year.

FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
PK: I'd say it was about a month's work in terms of conceptualising and execution.

FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
PK: I made this concept to produce quality work as part of my portfolios.

FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
PK: Has not been used by another companies if there is a bid to buy the rights to my work will consider.

FS: What made you design this particular type of work?
PK: It's a style and technique I'm very familiar with. I love to make photography with wide angle landscape. The results are always interesting.

FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
PK: I love the community Behance. I got a lot of inspiration there.

FS: Who is the target customer for his design?
PK: Lovers of photography, aged 18 -40 years, urban community.

FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
PK: I made a manual draft of the composition, angle and make execution.

FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
PK: Well the name is Beauty of Nature because series of nature photography.

FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
PK: Canon 5D Mark III Camera with Lens 16-35 mm F2.8 LII. Adobe Lightroom an Adobe Photoshop.

FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
PK: Good composition, colour, long exposure, lighting, and good execution.

FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
PK: No, I do it myself.

FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
PK: a big one to produce quality work of Photography.

FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
PK: Just plain old style referencing and inspirational material. My research is finding places that will be the destiny of my project. Looking beautiful places and find out information through google. I also asked for input from other photographer friends.

FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
PK: The challenge for this project, I need a guide to places that will be visited. Adapted to the culture and people there.

FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
PK: I got invitation from Ellena Miller Executive Account Manager A' Design Award & Competition to submit my work.

FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
PK: Just research is finding places that will be the destiny of my project. After it my instincts capture and produce great photography.

FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions?
PK: Nothing. Thank you.
