Interview with Hua Cheng , Hsian-Li Lo at Friday 22nd of April 2016

FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
HL: Our spatial illumination and basic design elements return you to the simple essence of living.

FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
HL: Town House Living .The turn of the staircase separates the private from the public, serving as a clear boundary between family solidarity and self-meditation.

FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
HL: The angles of the staircase naturally draw in sunlight to brighten the interior space.

FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions?
HL: Angles of Sunlight Sunlight quietly falls near the door Color dips into traces of old Returning to an unadorned past Settling the bustle of those come home Books lean lazily, all in a row With traces of color left behind The vertical axis, uneven in height Draws sunlight to shine on familial bonds Basking in sunlight, the space feels warm Through the turn of the staircase is a small cabin Windows of glass make for indoor starlight The angled railing supports us all The wood grain flows as time goes by Memory preserves life’s coming and going The temperature rises, and rises, and rises The sun’s light leaves behind the arc of its passing

FS: Thank you for providing us with this opportunity to interview you.
