FAQ Entry #300

Home > Support > Frequently Asked Questions > 300

This is a respond to a previously asked question about the A' Design Award and Competition. The full list of frequently asked questions can be accessed here.

#300: My project got X points from the preliminary tests. Is there any chance to raise my design points to the 9-10 range if I consider and apply your recommendations?

The X score (design score from 0 to 10) you got from the preliminary test is based on your design quality, and is different from the presentation score (0 to 100). While the presentation is undoubtedly important for evaluation of entries, in the end you should remember that it is the design quality that is being evaluated, thus improving the presentation score cannot lift your design quality score significantly (i.e. improving the presentation score could help improve the design quality score only and only if you prepare really stunning visuals and very good communication that clearly explains the design in a way that the value proposition is highlighted and understood fast), while not improving the presentation is highly likely to result in reduction of the score as at the end of the competition most entries already have a very high presentation score. Please note that the jury feedback are more relevant as the presentation score is calculated following an AI process which could never replace the intuition and experience of a jury member who follows recent trends.
