| DESIGN NAME: Hello Industrie 4.0 PRIMARY FUNCTION: Exhibition Stand INSPIRATION: Architectural Shell: Networked production landscapes and digitization will shape the next half-century in the same way that the internet, smartphones and computers have shaped the past half-centrury. The “Hello Industrie 4.0” architectual design concept of the booth is about nothing less than the disruptive transformation as a welcoming gesture. The polygonal outer skin is based on a networked structure and thus symbolizes the networking idea of the Internet of Things. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: At the world’s largest industrial show, KUKA’s booth takes the form of a highly visible, futuristic exhibition structure. Inside it, the market leader in intelligent automation with robotics takes visitors on a trip into networked production landscapes and changing work environments. Cobotics, Cloud Computing or the Internet of Robotics – the thematic areas throughout the brand environment exude and bring to life the spirit of a thought leader and trailblazer for Industrie 4.0. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Technological progress made by KUKA becomes an experience. Visitors can communicate interactively at all stations or humans and robots can work hand in hand. Augmented they also experience a virtual tour, it shows how Industry 4.0 is being implemented in the automotive industry. How our everyday life will change is demonstrated in the catering sector – where robots take orders via smartphones, when bartenders pour wheat beer and take on tasks as barista. Whether with milk and sugar or rather unsweetened and strong - at KUKA the coffee is ordered via the cloud and served by the robot. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in 2015 and was exhibited for the first time at the world’s largest industrial show in Hanover, Germany, in April 2016. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Sustainable Solutions: Despite the solitary overall look, architecture is a modular concept. Only a few weeks after the first appearance in Hanover, the room bodies and stations can be seen in modified form at other fairs. And the Smart Factory is also following the journey to further international ones destinations. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: KUKA showcases an impressive, intelligent and networked world at the world’s largest industry trade show across a centrally located area of more than 600 square meters. The customer journey spans seven stations. weiskind keeps all materials, corporate design details and technical specifications in the international KUKA Fair Toolbox. From the polygonal roof, cubic exhibit surfaces to folded wall surfaces with circumferential light bar. Through internationally uniform routines, trade fair successes can be evaluated over the years. With the Hanover Fair 2016, KUKA generated an extremely positive international response among customers, stakeholders, partners and its own team and impressively underpinned its positioning as a pioneer and trailblazer in Industry 4.0. The number of leads generated worldwide was well in excess of the targets. CHALLENGE: The KUKA Fair Toolbox uses the expansion stage Premium for leading international trade fairs worldwide. Noble materials such as Corian or high-gloss surfaces, details, such as double light strips on pedestals and applications, or high-quality finish of surfaces, edges and transitions characterize the overall picture. A short timeslot of only a few months, from the development to the realization of the trade fair, has to be mastered as a special challenge at the same time as the interdisciplinary implementation of the relaunch of a new KUKA corporate branding.
