| DESIGN NAME: Stories Container PRIMARY FUNCTION: Interior Design - Hotel INSPIRATION: The container carries cargoes to places. The hotel provides resting places for travelers. A transient resting place is what they have in common. That is why we use the container as the concept of our hotel. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Stable House looks like a couple of containers layers stacked, and on its east side we install windows of different sizes to let the light in. The reddish black cultured stone used to build first floor and the artificial stone outside looking rough and original make it looks like a stable, hence the name of the hotel. Opposite to the hard and solid exterior, the design inside the hotel is completely different. The designer uses stainless steel plate mounted on a high ceiling to let the cloud-shaped chandeliers looks higher. The first and second floors are public space for hotel guests and a tea house in operation. We think the hotel is not only a resting place, but also a space with personality. Every room has its own expression and personality. Therefore we create eight different suites as the followings Indulge, Evolve, Wabisabi, Shine Flower, Pantone, Fantasy, Journey, and Ballerina. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This not only enables the guests to fully enjoy the guestrooms with diverse styles but also makes the hotel owner free of concerns for room making; in addition, the seats in the tea-house on 1 Floor with the rising diversity cut the mutual disturbance among the guests. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Wood finishings、Culture SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Space area is 500(Square meter) TAGS: Stable house、B&B、De RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We think the hotel is not only a resting place, but also a space with personality. Every room has its own expression and personality. Therefore we create eight different suites as the followings: Indulge, Evolve, WabiSabi, Shine Flower, Panetone, Fantasy, Journey, and Ballerina. To understand the characteristics of space, to consider the travelers’ needs, and to show the aesthetic of design are ours goals. Stable House is not only a resting place, but also a supply station for your spirit. CHALLENGE: The full-open style applies to all the public areas and all the guestrooms; meanwhile, the timber ceiling is cut for managing a light feel free of vast timber decoration. Opposite to the hard and solid exterior, the design inside the hotel is completely different. The designer uses stainless steel plate mounted on a high ceiling to let the cloud-shaped chandeliers looks higher. The first and second floors are public space for hotel guests and a tea house in operation.
