| DESIGN NAME: R l PRIMARY FUNCTION: Restaurant INSPIRATION: I got the inspiration from the symmetry of the chinese diagram of the universe Taiji. As a result, customers curiosity will be raised by this fascinating visual impact. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The left side of the space belongs to the Pastry Chefs snow world. Those exquisite handmade French desserts are placed nicely inside the shiny showcase. By using white glossy tiles, white painted bricks, stainless finishing and bright marble, the room is just as elegant as those delicate desserts. The other side belongs to the Cuisine Chefs dark land. In order to create a good contrast of the space, designers choose the black glossy tiles, black painted bricks, blackened metal and dark wood, not only try to make a conversation with the white space, also keep the stylish of black color. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The folding window can wide open when the weather is good for inside and outside. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in Feb 2016, Taiwan and finished in May 2016. The restaurant is located in Taoyuan, Taiwan. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Brick / Tile / Marble / Epoxy / Black Steel SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Area Space: 110 Square meters TAGS: Interior design, Branding, Restaurant, Taiwan, Black, White RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We found out that high ceiling can make people feeling comfortable, and open kitchen can let costumers feel safe. We design a bring space even part of color is black. CHALLENGE: It is hard to separate a space into two different color completely, even from ground to ceiling. Because we need to think about space plan and color separating line in the same time. NAME: Chun Rui Co., Ltd. PROFILE: Chun Rui Co., Ltd. is a food supply company which established first restaurant called RL designed by Union Atelier. Chef Chun and chef Rui are founders of this company whom met each other in France during their cook learning period. RL is a restaurant which serves fine French burgers and delicate patisserie in the same time. |
