DESIGN NAME:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Tea Set

INSPIRATION:
The tea is one of the irreplaceable parts of Turkish culture and it is almost a ritual in our geography. The slim waisted tea glass is an iconic object, which is a classic that comes to the mind first when we say Turkish art. Therefore, the tea set has been our first project in our series of neoclassical works that blend Turkish culture and Modern design. With Sofia Tea Set where traditional lines unite with minimalism, we aim to give a new impulse to Turkish design and introduce our culture to foreigners. It is also a stand in silence to our hometown and the richness of Turkish culture as the Designers.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The “Sofia” tea set has been our first project .In our series of neoclassical works that blend Turkish culture and modern design.Tea Set With Sofia where traditional lines of minimalism with the unit, we aim to give a new impulse to Turkish design and introduce our culture to foreigners. It is also a stand in silence to our hometown and the richness of Turkish culture as Designers.Tea, indispensable to our culture. in our homes, in restaurants, on ferries, street and our train and everywhere in slender glasses drinking tea ... where the Western and East culture meet in harmony, the region where I grew up.Our goal is to bring new excitement to the design and Turkey in the international arena to promote our own culture ... Sofia, the tea set was the first I designed in the series of both traditional lines along with minimalism. From the Turkish cultural objects of slender cup of tea,tea spoon, tea pot and a tray of tea set which consist of a modern and minimalist style I created my first part of my collection named “Sofia” tea set. “Sofia” takes the name “Ayasofya” ,which is called in Italian "Basilicia di Santa Sofia" , known as one of the most historical buildings all around the world especially for tourists who always want to see “Ayasofya”.
