| DESIGN NAME: Lotus Square Art Center PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sales Center INSPIRATION: Inspired philosophy of the outline from fish as well the shape of paper UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project starts from the principle of the green, ecology and future, and focus on the less consumption and pollution and high efficiency.In addition, the influence of construction activity on the environment is also considered. Adopting new technology and method explores more values of the construction itself, and achieve the target of harmony with nature. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The building was constructed in earth-covering form to occupy the roof extending to the ground. Hypostatic union with the surroundings makes it hard to distinguish the demarcation line. The central area of the building was made translucent to develop grey space connecting the interior and external to integrate visually. As well the construction is equipped with recycling system on the roof and low-E glass to reduce consumption and the heat island effect. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Steel, Low-E Glass, Marble, Carpet, Wood Finishings, Mirror, Aluminum, Fibre Steel structure SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 130000 mm x 56000 mm x 17000 mm TAGS: Sustainability, Less Consumption, Ecology, Green, Earth-covered RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The project is located in a public used place, which is a park, and the surroundings were constructed by lotus theme. The design need to meet government's request as well not destroy the enviroment. After the designer check the earth on-site, the earth-covered construction is adopted finally with the grass roof.
