OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
Confucius said that the strength of the nation derives from home integrity. A home empowered with a social hub, a family core and a secret retreat can offer greater user satisfaction. Paraphrasing it, it is important to accommodate our public, private and secret activities. The design provides the usual coffee table functionality, with an enclosure of service trays enabling simultaneously performing independent activities. The bottom module is used to lock the cubicles in place, while providing a rigid storage space for every items and belongings.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
Bibliographic and website search was conducted in user values and ergonomically added assets for a coffee table. The main emphasis is placed on storage, keeping away items and belongings while having them easily accessible, a coffee table that can be used simultaneously by all family members including kids, available manufacturing technology for low cost production and easy assembling and relocating without using tools.

CHALLENGE:
Four different compartments are locked in place using a laser stenciled 5mm thick aluminum sheet. The slots enable its vertical sliding, while it rests on two deep rectangular cuttings on the opposing cubicle faces. The same technique is used for the 4mm thick top modules that create four different sizes of service trays. The industrial feeling of aluminium is counterbalanced by vibrant Pantone colors, in Cyber yellow, Green vegetation, Web blue and Tomato Red.
