Credit Pre-Authorization
If you cannot make a payment due to a technical issue, urgency or force meajure, you can request Credit Pre-Authorization and we will provide you with service first or get your design nominated first and then later ask you to pay, this is called Credit Pre-Authorization.

Credit Pre-Authorization Payback Terms
New Participants: For new participants, payments shall be made for credits within 7 days or latest by April 7, whichever comes first, without any interests or penalties. Laureates: For our laureates, for our past award-winners, credit payments for digital edition entries and pro-edition entries have different payback terms. Payments towards making pro-edition entries and physical goods shall be made within 14 days or latest by April 14, whichever comes first and payments towards digital edition participation may be made latest by December 31, of the same year, giving ample time for laureates.

When Can I Request Pre-Authorization
You may request pre-authorization anytime, especially during deadline months, such as February and March (for late entry period), but also in September and June.

Can I Request Credits Pre-Authorization?
First try payment with Credit Card. If you tried to pay by Credit Card and it did not work, if for any issue the credit card payment page stays blank or if the credit card process does not complete; if OTP Request or Mobile Confirmation Request is not shown, it could be possible that currently our bank is having difficultly processing payments due to a technical error in their infrastructure or it may be possible your international card is not accepted,if this happens, before requesting pre-authorization first try payment with a different payment method; if the credit card process page does not change for long time, like for example 2 minutes, then instead of retrying payment with credit card over our bank, we strongly suggest to instead proceed payment with an alternative payment method. If you are unable to also use alternative payment methods, such as wiretransfer, you can request pre-authorization, regardless of why your card did not work and regardless of why our system did not accept your payment.

How do I Request Credit Pre-Authorization?
If you are not able to proceed with an alternative payment method, please contact our support with the following information: Your Profile ID#, Payment Causal and Amount and request Credit Pre-Authorization.

Request Credit Pre-Authorization Now - Step by Step Instructions for Nominating a Design

   1. Design ID
      If you are nominating a design, please provide us with your Design ID (Learn Design ID here).
      
      
   2. Nomination Type
      Indicate Entry Method: Digital, Pro, Red, Gold Ticket, Platinum Ticket, PNJL, Black Ticket.
      
      
   3. Entry Period
      Early, Standard, Late, Last, Omega - Dates and Fees - Deadline Periods page may be relevant.
      
      
3. Payment Amount
   Use Fee Calculator and send us the final link / URL because this last page where the fee is displayed will also show the Nomination Type, Account Type and Entry Period already that we need.

How much Credit Pre-Authorization can I Request?
New Participants: You can request up to three (3) Credit Pre-Authorizations. Past Laureates: You can request up to three (3) Credit Pre-Authorizations, however you can also request Credit Pre-Authorizations equal to the number of times your works had been selected as A' Design Award, within the last 10 years; for example if you have 20 award-winning designs within the last 10 years then you can request 20 Credit Pre-Authorizations instead of 3.

What if my Request is Rejected?
Please forward this page to our support team; this official document notes that your Credit Pre-Authorization should always be accepted, unless of course you have major negative account balance or if you are in bad standing with us; in general if you are in good standing with us, we will always provide you with Credits even if you had minor negative account balances.

What happens after I Request Credit Pre-Authorization?
When you request a Credit Pre-Authorization, if you were nominating a design you will get a nomination ticket without making a payment, and you will be able to use your nomination ticket to complete nomination of your entry. Meanwhile our support will add a negative credit to your Account Balance, and we will kindly oblige you to pay your Account Balance within 7 days or latest by April 7, whichever comes first (for new participants) and we will provide you time until December 31 (for our laureates for digital entries). Likewise for other services when you request Credit Pre-Authorization, you will get the service provided before any payment is required initially and you will later owe us for the service fee which we will ask you to pay within 7 days or latest by April 7, whichever comes first (for new entrants) and 14 days or latest by April 14, for our past laureates.
